Engineered Versatility with Robotic Palletizing

The Challange

A repeat customer approached Haver & Boecker seeking a robotic palletizing solution capable of handling both trays and slipsheets and efficiently stacking valve bags onto them.

The Solution

Haver & Boecker met with the customer to understand the product environment and their unique packaging needs. After evaluating these needs in this palletizing process, it was determined the palletizing solution was a robotic palletizing cell featuring our AMICUS® PAL. To accommodate the trays used in specific product recipes, Haver & Boecker designed custom pick-up stations, one for top trays and another for bottom trays, ensuring precise placement during palletizing. For added efficiency and operator convenience, access doors in the safety fencing are strategically aligned with the tray and slipsheet stations, allowing for easy loading into the robotic cell.

To further enhance throughput, this robotic cell features upstream a pallet dispenser and conveyors where the operator can load pallet stacks. Also featured in this robotic cell is a reject station and bag flattener for optimal bag presentation and pallet stability. Then, to support recipes that only require slipsheets on the top and bottom, a slipsheet pick-up station is located within the robot cell. The End of Arm Tool featured on the AMICUS® PAL is the fork tool that also is equipped with suction cup tooling for the slipsheet and tray pick-up. Additionally, this tool is equipped with an LED status indicator to help notify the operator of machine status/state.

At Haver & Boecker USA, we recognize the importance of having efficient and reliable Robotic Palletizers and step up to the plate to any challenges and ideas our customers bring to the table. With the use of cutting-edge technology, high precision dosing systems, and intuitive user interfaces, your production process is reliable, efficient, and safe!
